Comments on Parra Regional Plan components

As sent to Panchayat by Town and Country Planning Department (through BDO):

The land use plan submitted by the Town and Country Planning department (TCPD) to the village panchayat for its study and correction largely reflects the development realities of the village over the last several decades.

Thus, the settlement areas, in the main, respect the existing settlement fence that have come up prior to Liberation and similar is the case with the agricultural lands. In this sense, both the Regional Plan 2001 (notified in 1986) and the draft RP 2021 happily do not diverge very much from the wisdom of the settlers of the village before the era of town and country planning.

However, after close study and verification at the ground level, we have discovered the following errors and distortions that are reflected in the document and plan sent to us by the TCPD. We are listing these errors and distortions below, together with our observations.

Download Word document (.doc) for full report.
